Training and technical  assistance are offered for all areas of Assistive Technology including:

  • Overview
  • Assessment
  • Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC)
  • Computer Access and Mobility
  • Software/Access
  • Accommodations for Instruction and Assessment

On-site consultation is available for assistance with assessment and implementation of Assistive Technology.

 

 

Considering Assistive Technology in the IEP Process

Considering AT in the IEP Process Resource Guide

Step 1: Review current data and additional information

Step 2: Develop goals and identify tasks that might be difficult or impossible for the student when working toward mastery

Step 3: Determine whether AT devices and/or services are required at this time

Step 4: Document the AT consideration outcome including a rationale for the decision
