  • Adult Basic Education (ABE): Classes providing basic skills instruction and transition skills in grade levels 0-8 in reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies and life-coping skills.
     
  • High School Equivalency Preparation Class:  Classes provide High School Equivalency Exam preparation in grade levels 9 - 12 in reading, writing, mathematics, science and social studies.  These studies culminate in students passing the High School Equivalency Exam/GED test and transitioning to employment or higher education.  The Region 5 ESC Adult Education program serves Hardin, Jefferson and Orange Counties. 
     
  • English as a Second Language (ESL) for Adults:  Classes provide oral and literary English language development to individuals whose native language is not English, who wish to acquire English proficiency.
     
  • ESL for Foreign Educated Professionals: Classes to assist professionals with degrees from other countries to learn English so they can re-enter the workforce in their chosen fields
     
  • English Literacy & Civics Education (EL Civics):  Integrates programs and services that incorporate English Literacy and Civics Education.  Assists immigrant adults to master English to be able to understand and navigate government, educational, and workplace systems, obtain citizenship, and participate in education, work and civic opportunities of this country.
